CASA

Clients with a Cause

In August, our #ClientsWithACause program supports CASA of Southwest Missouri. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) are specially trained volunteer citizens appointed by a juvenile court judge to represent child victims in cases of abuse and neglect. Currently, there are 900+ children in the Greene County foster care system, and a CASA is part of the solution for these children.

On August 12-13, help raise funds for CASA by participating in the William Fontleroy CASA Classic Youth 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament at the Fieldhouse Sports Center! Find out more in the link below. #KPMCARES

CASA

Clients with a Cause

Our #ClientsWithACause program supports CASA of Southwest Missouri, a non-profit organization that recruits, trains, and supports community volunteers who assist the court in protecting the best interests of abused and neglected children in Southwest Missouri. Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers gather information with the goal of guiding abused children out of the foster care system and identify the child’s needs and ensuring rehabilitative services. What difference does a CASA volunteer make in a child’s life? Find out in the video below. #KPMCARES

KPM is proud to support area non-profits including:

Cents of Pride

As part of the Springfield Public Schools’ Cents of Pride program, KPM is excited to sponsor Westport Elementary School’s Westport Warehouse! This program uses positive reinforcement to encourage good behavior and attendance. The Warehouse is open twice each month, and students are assisted by a personal shopper to pick out just the right items. As one of the elementary schools in Springfield with the lowest attendance rate and approximately 86 percent of students qualifying for the free and reduced lunch program, we are happy to sponsor this program and do our part to help provide opportunities for educational success!

United Way

KPM proudly supports the United Way of the Ozarks (United Way) and their mission to improve lives in the Ozarks by uniting community support. In 2016, the United Way presented KPM with the ‘Leo’s Champions’ award for achieving a 15 percent or greater increase in employee contributions for their 2015 Annual Campaign and also recognized KPM for having a top 50 local campaign. KPM also is glad to sponsor and participate in their ‘Day of Caring’ event annually, which is the largest single-day volunteer event in Southwest Missouri. Overall, KPM’s ‘Day of Caring’ participation for 2015 and 2016 included the completion of nine projects by 47 volunteers.
