KPM CPAs, PC Names New Managing Shareholder

James M. Lewis, CPA, PFS, CFP® has assumed the role of President and Managing Shareholder of KPM CPAs, PC (KPM). Jim joined KPM in 1981 and specializes in taxation and wealth management services.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants. Jim also is committed to active leadership roles in the community and serves as treasurer and board member of the Springfield Business Development Corporation. In addition, he previously served on the boards of Ozarks Food Harvest, United Way of the Ozarks, and Leadership Springfield.

G. Michael “Mike” Redmon, who served as President and Managing Shareholder from 2008 to 2014, stated, “I am confident Jim is the right person to lead us into the next phase of our business.” Mike will continue to focus on growth and client service and remain close to executive leadership to ensure a smooth transition. Jim said he is “grateful for Mike’s leadership and guidance and excited to see what’s next for the firm.”

Since the merger that formed ‘KPM’ in 1989, three managing shareholders, including J. Michael Phillips, Steven D. Hufham, and Mike Redmon, have served the firm.
