Brooke Liggett Earns CFFA Designation

Brooke Liggett, CPA, CVA has successfully completed the certification process with the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA®) to earn the designation of Certified Forensic Financial Analyst (CFFA).  She has earned her designation in the area of Matrimonial Litigation.  

The CFFA credential is designed to provide assurance to the business and legal communities - the primary users of financial forensic consulting services – that the designee possesses a level of experience and knowledge deemed acceptable by the association to provide competent and professional financial forensic consulting services.  Ms. Liggett also holds the Certified Valuation Analyst designation and specializes in business valuations and economic damage calculations and other litigation support services.  She has appeared as an expert witness in litigation proceedings involving business valuations and other economic matters.

In the matrimonial arena, CFFAs can determine marital assets and liabilities, value closely held businesses, assess tax issues and provide forensic services to ascertain real disposable income and living expenses and to find hidden assets.

KPM Announces Staff Promotions

Kirkpatrick, Phillips & Miller is pleased to announce the following staff promotions.

Tom Weber, CPA, CIA to Supervisor.    Tom specializes in auditing and works primarily with financial institutions.   In 2009, Tom earned his Certified Internal Auditor designation.   He has been with the firm since 2005.  Tom has a Masters in Accountancy from Missouri State University.  Tom is active in Springfield’s Rotaract Club and serves on the Board of Directors for the Nova Center.

Lisa (Dugan) Holt, CPA to Senior Accountant. Lisa’s primary responsibilities include assisting with general tax, audit and accounting engagements.  Lisa graduated from Drury University in 2008 with an MBA. Lisa is active in the American Society of Women Accountants – Springfield Chapter and the Executive Women’s Club of Springfield.
