COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

KPM is dedicated to the communities in which we live and work. Actively supporting non-profits throughout Springfield and Branson, Missouri has been important to our firm for 50 years. We believe in building stronger communities through the commitment of time, resources, and expertise and understand you must lead by example to create engaged societies. KPM CARES.

Clients with a Cause

In July, our #ClientsWithACause program supports CASA of Southwest Missouri and their mission to recruit, train, and support community volunteers who assist the court in protecting the best interests of abused and neglected children in Southwest Missouri. A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer is a specially-trained citizen appointed by the Juvenile Court judge to represent a child victim in cases of abuse and neglect. Currently, there are 1,000+ children who are active with Juvenile Court due to abuse or neglect. The volume of cases has overwhelmed the child welfare system and caseworkers, so CASA volunteers are able to provide a unique ‘child-centered’ perspective regarding their case. Learn more about becoming a CASA volunteer, including FAQs and resources on their website in the link below. #KPMCARES

Clients with a Cause

This month, our #ClientsWithACause program supports CASA of Southwest Missouri! Help raise funds to create brighter futures for the children of Greene and Christian Counties and sponsor their CASAblanca Gala! Again this year, #KPMCPAs is a proud sponsor of this awesome annual event, which includes live music, dinner, raffles, and a fabulous casino after party. Join in the fun on Friday, September 10 at The Old Glass Place, and learn more about the event in the link below. #KPMCARES

United Way of the Ozarks

KPM proudly supports the United Way of the Ozarks (United Way) and their mission to improve lives in the Ozarks by uniting community support. In 2016, the United Way presented KPM with the ‘Leo’s Champions’ award for achieving a 15 percent or greater increase in employee contributions for their 2015 Annual Campaign and also recognized KPM for having a top 50 local campaign. KPM also is glad to sponsor and participate in their ‘Day of Caring’ event annually, which is the largest single-day volunteer event in Southwest Missouri. KPM’s most recent ‘Day of Caring’ participation included 23 volunteers at five project sites for a total of 138 hours of ‘Helping Hands.’
