This month, our #ClientsWithACause program supports Ozarks Food Harvest (OFH)! OFH is the Feeding America food bank for #SWMO and serves 270 non-profit hunger-relief organizations across 28 Ozarks counties. Programs provided by OFH include the Weekend Backpack Program, Mobile Food Pantry, After-School and Summer Food, and Senior Food Program. Through these programs and their network, OFH provides more than 1.25 million meals monthly, reaching 30,000 individuals weekly. In fact, every $1 donated to OFH provides five meals to someone in need. Give money, food, or time to support this great non-profit organization! Learn more about OFH and how to help them ‘Transform Hunger into Hope’ on the video in the link below. #KPMCARES
Our #ClientsWithACause program supports Ozarks Food Harvest (OFH) in November! Support OFH this month and beyond through Check Out Hunger (Nov. 11-Dec. 31) and the 24th Annual Turkey Trot and Food Drive! Check Out Hunger at local grocery stores by adding a $1, $3, or $5 tax-free donation to your grocery bill – 72 stores are participating in this annual holiday campaign! Also, participate in the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning! This fun 5k race event doubles as a food drive – register online ($20/adult and $15/kids 12 and under) and bring five nonperishable food items to donate before the race begins at 8:00 a.m. A full list of local grocery stores participating in Check Out Hunger and registration information for the Turkey Trot are provided on the OFH website in the link below. #KPMCARES
KPM proudly supports the United Way of the Ozarks (United Way) and their mission to improve lives in the Ozarks by uniting community support. In 2016, the United Way presented KPM with the ‘Leo’s Champions’ award for achieving a 15 percent or greater increase in employee contributions for their 2015 Annual Campaign and also recognized KPM for having a top 50 local campaign. KPM also is glad to sponsor and participate in their ‘Day of Caring’ event annually, which is the largest single-day volunteer event in Southwest Missouri. KPM’s most recent ‘Day of Caring’ participation included 23 volunteers at five project sites for a total of 138 hours of ‘Helping Hands.’
