KPM proudly supports the United Way Ozarks Region and their mission to improve lives in Southwest Missouri by uniting community support. We happily give through their annual campaign as well as sponsor and participate in ‘Day of Caring’ each year. This past year, we pitched in with 35 volunteers giving back for a total of 220 hours!
In April, our #ClientsWithACause program supports Camp Barnabas and their mission to provide a unique Christian summer camp experience to individuals with special needs, their siblings, and youth from across the United States. They strive to provide their Campers with a summer like everyone else because for most of the year, they’re on the outside.
Since 1994, Camp Barnabas has welcomed over 90,000 Campers with special needs and Missionaries. Their Campers have a variety of diagnoses, including developmental and physical disabilities, chronic illnesses, autism spectrum disorder, cancer, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, cystic fibrosis, and many other rare and debilitating diseases. But at camp, every Camper can participate regardless of ability with adapted programs and activities!
Each Camper is matched with a volunteer Missionary for support, and Camp Barnabas has a full medical facility with nurses and doctors equipped to accommodate any medical needs Campers may require.
