KPM’s Clients with a Cause Program Supports CASA of Southwest Missouri in July

In July, our #ClientsWithACause program supports CASA of Southwest Missouri and their mission to recruit, train, and support community volunteers who assist the court in protecting the best interests of abused and neglected children in Southwest Missouri. A Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteer is a specially-trained citizen appointed by the Juvenile Court judge to represent a child victim in cases of abuse and neglect. Currently, there are 1,000+ children who are active with Juvenile Court due to abuse or neglect. The volume of cases has overwhelmed the child welfare system and caseworkers, so CASA volunteers are able to provide a unique ‘child-centered’ perspective regarding their case. Learn more about becoming a CASA volunteer, including FAQs and resources on their website here. #KPMCARES
