Fortunately, modern accounting software can now automate certain tasks, such as invoicing, accounts payable management and payroll processing. In some cases, you may need to upgrade your current accounting software to take full advantage of these efficiencies. But even modest improvements, such as automating recurring entries or bank feeds, can help substantially reduce the time it takes to close your books.
